On the latest podcast, should the Toronto Maple Leafs consider trading William Nylander? And a look at the Toronto Raptors dominant start to the season.

As the William Nylander situation with the Toronto Maple Leafs continues without a resolution there have been varying opinions including some wondering if the team should consider trading him?

David Morassutti and Jake Middleton discuss that along with the Toronto Raptors 8-1 start to the season. They look at how Kawhi Leonard has fit in and why the month of November is a good test for them with some tough matchups.

The Leafs are finding it difficult to get the offence going especially in the first and second period of the last two games against the Calgary Flames and the Dallas Stars. How much is that the Leafs trying to sort things our or opposing teams trying to send a message early on.

David and Jake explain why it’s too early for fans to be worried about the team’s struggles and why certain teams are overachieving and will eventually come back down to earth. They look at how fortunate Toronto is considering the situation a couple of other teams are and would gladly take the problems the Leafs have.

Jake explains why players getting big deals right out of their entry level have complicated matters considering other players have had an easier time getting their star players signed right afterwards. For example, players like Mark Scheifele and John Tavares got reasonable deals which gave their teams a chance to build around them.

So at what point should the Leafs feel like they need to make a decision on Nylander and do they take the chance of having him sitting out for the season? David looks at teams that could be ideal trade partners and Jake gives his thoughts on a Nylander trade that would make sense for the Leafs.

The podcast then shifts gears to the Raptors who have been impressive in the early part of the season with Kawhi firing on all cylinders. What has led to the great start and is there anything the team should be concerned about?
