Toronto Maple Leafs: 6 ideal forwards to target at trade deadline
Toronto Maple Leafs trade deadline target: Taylor Hall
With the Buffalo Sabres firing Ralph Krueger, the floodgates should be opening up and the one player that should be on the move is Taylor Hall.
There’s no reason why Hall wouldn’t waive his no-movement clause considering there is nothing left for Buffalo to compete for. At this point, any team making a call to the Sabres shouldn’t stop until they’ve won the sweepstakes.

An obvious hurdle for Toronto and most contending teams is Hall’s $8 million cap hit the Sabres will have to be ready to retain salary in a deal. This will not only land them multiple assets but avoid missing a chance of looking worse than they already are right now.
So how can Toronto make a deal for the former Hart Trophy winner? There’s no doubt that a player like Kerfoot will be going the other way plus a draft pick as well. Even then, Dubas will likely have to throw in some prospects as well especially players closer to playing in the NHL than recent draft picks.
Could this mean AHL forwards like Joey Anderson, Der-Arguchintsev, or Filip Hållander? Buffalo needs help in many areas and should be asking Hall to waive his no-movement clause to help with that.
