Buffalo Bills: Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs lead the way in impressive win
The Buffalo Bills continued their dominant stretch with an impressive victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers led by Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs.
If there was any sign of the Buffalo Bills turning the page on their status of contenders, their ability to overcome a tough start against the Pittsburgh Steelers should have provided that.
Coming into this game, the Steelers’ vulnerable offense was exposed by the Washington Football Team who ended their bid for a perfect season. The Bills defense rose to the occasion and gave Josh Allen the opportunities and breathing room he needed to tackle another elite opponent.

After a relatively quiet performance against the LA Chargers in Week 12, Stefon Diggs has responded with two elite games where he has made 10 or more receptions. Against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 13 he had 10 receptions for 92 yards and against Pittsburgh he had 10 catches for 130 yards and a touchdown.
It’s the type of performance that shows the Bills have what it takes to push forward as a contender. Their ability to make plays on defense and for Allen to push the ball forward either with his legs or his arm are something the team has been able to accomplish on a more consistent basis this season.
In this game, we saw two different versions of this Bills team which should really credit head coach Sean McDermott for making the necessary adjustments at halftime. It also seems like Buffalo’s rush defense has started to make strides and with the Denver Broncos, New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins left on the schedule, they can use these games as opportunities to keep their momentum heading into the playoffs.
They are in the driver’s seat to win the AFC East with the Dolphins losing to the Kansas City Chiefs and should be able to clinch their first division crown since 1995. Staying healthy getting some players like John Brown back ahead of the playoffs could provide the lift the Bills need and with the Steelers struggling, they could potentially challenge for their spot in the AFC conference.
