The Buffalo Bills will take on the Los Angeles Rams in Week 3 of NFL action.  Both teams are coming into the matchup with a 2-0 record.

After dispatching the Miami Dolphins 31-28 last Sunday, the Buffalo Bills will host the Rams at 1 PM EST this week.  According to Action Network, the Bills are currently 2-point favourites.

After an up and down opening week, quarterback Josh Allen was exceptional in Week 2.  Meanwhile, the Rams took advantage of three turnovers to beat the Eagles 37-19.

The matchup is one of two meetings between undefeated teams in Week 3.  The Ravens and Chiefs heavyweight tilt on Monday is the only other matchup of 2-0 squads.

Buffalo Bills Week Two in Review

The Bills ended up in a close game against a pesky Dolphins team in Week 2 but held on to win 31-28.  A fourth-and-goal stop by the Buffalo defense late in the third quarter made a huge difference.

The biggest difference-maker, though, was Allen.  He continued his perfect red zone play and showed off a cannon arm and some incredible touch.

More from Tip of the Tower

Per Football Outsiders, Allen has been the best quarterback in the league through two weeks.  It is pretty hard to argue with 719 passing yards, six touchdowns and zero interceptions through two games.  He has not even run the ball particularly well but is in the very early MVP conversation.

Meanwhile, the Rams dispatched the Eagles easily in Week 2, powered by quarterback Jared Goff and a balanced rushing attack.  As per NFL.com, halfback Darrell Henderson and Malcolm Brown combined for 128 yards on 23 carries and one touchdown.  Tight end Tyler Higbee had a career day scoring three touchdowns.

Looking Ahead to Week 3 Matchup

This is one of the juiciest matchups of the week, featuring two hot quarterbacks and two of the best offenses in the league.  Per Football Outsiders, this is a matchup between the fifth and sixth most efficient teams in the NFL through two weeks.

Both defenses have been above average through two games, but have not been as strong as many expected heading into the season.  The game may be won or lost on special teams, as the Bills come in ranked 20th in special teams efficiency, and the Rams sit 29th.

Both teams feature an excellent duo at wideout, with Stefon Diggs and John Brown having a great start to the season for the Bills.  Meanwhile,  Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods have been explosive for the Rams.

The total for this game is set at 47.5 currently, and it seems like it will be a close contest.

My Prediction: Bills 24, Rams 20
