The Toronto Raptors might not have the same championship aspirations but they appear to be motivated to have a memorable season.

When you think about how far the Toronto Raptors have come since 1995 and the highs and lows the fanbase went through, winning the NBA championship brought upon a celebration the city has never seen.

The city and country were on such a high that it makes you wonder if it would ever be possible to get that feeling again considering how long it would take to get to the top. This is also why as a franchise they take the opportunity to prolong the festivities and it also helps when you have other reasons to celebrate.

Opening night will be the big reminder for fans of what the team accomplished when the Raptors get to raise their championship banner and show off their championship ring. You can also bet the team will have other ways to ensure fans get to commemorate the first title in franchise history.

What should also make this season something to look forward to is the fact that it’s the 25th anniversary and already the organization is showing it’s ready to have a great celebration after announcing they are bringing the “Dino” jerseys back for select games.

On the team’s social media accounts they showed a video of the jersey when they were worn back in the first couple of years of the franchise. They also showed clips from this past season and Lowry wearing a Damon Stoudamire jersey which got everyone feeling nostalgic.

What makes this even better for the Raptors is trying to bring back something that doesn’t necessarily have the best memories for hardcore Raptors fans but not hiding from what went wrong in the past. Also, MLSE knows they will see a decent number of jerseys sold along with that.

Off the court, you know the Raptors will ensure the fans will enjoy each moment from this season and while there are many questions on the court, you can say the team will do what it can to remain competitive this season.

Fans should be excited to see how Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby play this season considering they are considered the future of this team. If they take the next step, it will hopefully take the sting away from Kawhi Leonard leaving.
