Three free agents the Toronto Raptors could target
Omri Casspi, Minnesota Timberwolves
Position: Small forward
Age: 29
2016-17 salary cap hit: $3 million
Casspi has struggled to stay with a team during his eight year NBA career, playing for five different squads, but the 6-foot-9 Israeli native does have a nice skillset the Raptors could possibly target with their mid-level exception.

Why Casspi has been unable to latch on with a team is debatable, but adding a player who shoots 36.7 percent from three during his career is more than ideal if you’re the cap-strapped Raptors. He’s also a player who oozes confidence and will shoot any open shot he has.
The downside with Casspi is his defence. He’s a liability in his own end and you would like to see him improve his career 17 percent defensive rebound percentage. His free-throw shooting could also use an improvement. He’s a career 67.5 percent shooter from the charity stripe and he’s shot below 65 percent the past two seasons.
Outside of his defence and free-throw shooting, though, he’s a nice role player and is somebody who the Raptors could probably target with their mid-level exception.
