The obvious name that will draw the most attention is Timothy Liljegren, who was selected with the 17th overall pick in the 2017 draft. Other notable names include: Jeremy Bracco, Adam Brooks, Martins Dzierkals, J,D, Greenway, Dakota Joshua, J.J. Piccinich, Eemeli Rasanen, Ian Scott, and Joseph Woll. It is surprising to see the number of invitees that were not drafted by the Leafs, especially if any are able to impress enough to be an option with the Toronto Marlies.

More from Tip of the Tower

16 players will be returning from last year’s camp, but not attending are Yegor Korkshov and Vladislav Kara. This will be an important camp for Liljegren as he is expected to go back to Sweden this year, so the Leafs will want to get as much work done with him before he leaves.

Bracco and Brooks are expected to make the move to the Marlies this season and will likely lead waht should be another young forward group. It will be interesting to see how Dzierkals does after he had some injuries to overcome in 2016. Piccinich is looking to move on from junior hockey after scoring 138 points in 132 games with the London Knights. In net, Woll has a shot to be the starting goalie with team USA at the World Juniors in Buffalo, but it will be some time before the Leafs see him make the move to professional hockey.
