The Ti-Cats are missing two key veterans in the back end. Defensive backs Abdul Kanneh and Emanuel Davis are inactive against the Argonauts in week one.
For Kanneh, he’s coming off a Grey Cup title with Ottawa and was set to be an upgrade for the Tiger Cats. The Grey Cup saving defender posted 52 tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and three interceptions for the Ottawa Redblacks. The Eastern Division All Star was sure to be a dangerous presence for quarterbacks.

As for Kanneh’s fellow Eastern All Star, Davis has been put on the six game injured list. The defensive back has been a gem for the Ti-Cats, posting up 55 tackles, five interceptions (included a pick-six), one forced fumble and three fumble returns.
Having them off the field will be a huge gain for the Argonauts and can focus their targets deep down the field for big gains during the game.
