Secondary Rebounds in Second Half

Stephon Gilmore received most of the blame for last week’s abysmal performace against the Patriots and during the first half of this game, he and other heralded cover man, Ronald Darby, were on the wrong end of several highlight plays by the Seahawks.

The tandem along with the rest of the secondary picked up their play in the last 30 minutes, eliminating the big plays and pretty much held Seahakws QB Russel Wilson and his crew in check.

Seattle put up 28 points in the first two quarters, but could only muster three points during the rest of the game. Making things easier for the Bills secondary was the play of the front seven, who after a slow start pressured the QB as they’ve done all year, finishing the game with four sacks.

Note: league leader in sacks, Lorenzo Alexander, added another sack, and rookie Shaq Lawson recorded the second of his career.

The Bills are off in Week 10 with a bye and it couldn’t have come at a better time. They battled hard against the Seahawks and there’s definitely positives that the team can build upon moving forward, but they could definitely use a break to regroup. Next up for Buffalo is the Cincinnati Bengals (3-4-1) in Week 11.
