By Paul Taylor
With several players competing for places on the Toronto Blue Jays, we look at four outfielders hoping to make the opening day roster.
With the regular season nearly here, the Toronto Blue Jays are still weighing up roster options. Looking to build on last year’s successful run, every decision could mean the difference between returning to the postseason, or missing out altogether.
As such, John Gibbons and the rest of his staff will be using the remainder of spring training to evaluate all possible scebarios. However, there are often various aspects to consider when deciding between players.

Who is more talented? Who has more upside? Who is working harder? The list goes on. In that respect, there will be some tough decisions to make in the coming days.
In any event, one area where there is a lot of competition is in the outfield, with four players in serious contention for a backup spot – ideally someone who can play centre field. The players in question are Domonic Brown, Ezequiel Carrera, Darrell Ceciliani and Junior Lake.
While being fair by giving everyone a similar number of at-bats, Gibbons admits they have all played well, making any decision that much tougher. We take a look at each individual and attempt to determine who has the inside track as we approach opening day.
