Members of the Toronto Maple Leafs have been taking shots back and forth on Twitter all week, and they’ve all been aimed at Mitch Marner.

Mitch Marner is no stranger to Twitter. Since joining the site in 2011, his following has only risen, and his affiliation with the Toronto Maple Leafs will assure that he’ll continue to grow in popularity going forward.

This week, in particular, has been fun for the sophomore-to-be.

It started with defacto dad Matt Martin spotting an error made in the NHL 18 teaser trailer featuring Marner.

The real fun started on Tuesday when Marner threw out the first pitch at the Rogers Centre.

Although the young winger was able to get the ball over the plate to Jays pitcher Marcus Stroman, his teammates still had some fun with it on Twitter.

Speaking of jorts, Auston Matthews came to his defence after it was pointed out that Marner’s pair were ripped.

This isn’t the first time Leafs players have had a laugh at Marner’s expense. Last month, Matthews changed his profile picture to a photoshopped image of Marner, which Marner made his cover photo on the site.

With so many young players, fans should expect to see some social media shenanigans, but seeing the veterans get in on the fun is great.

In this case, a team that tweets together stays together; at least we hope so.
