3) The defence was strong, particularly in the fourth quarter.

The Raptors were able to hold the Nets under 100 points, and Brooklyn shot just 38.8% from the floor.  Toronto also pressured Brooklyn relentlessly and caused 17 turnovers.

When it was time to put the clamps down, the Raptors did just that.  Brooklyn was only able to score 19 points in the fourth quarter.  In a game where their offence was subpar, Toronto dictated the pace with their defence.

Sometimes you have to win ugly, and the Raptors showed their playoff chops by taking this game.  The mark of a quality team is winning games in different ways, and stealing some when it looks like a loss is inevitable.

Head Coach Nick Nurse had to be pleased with the defensive effort and the team’s resilience in taking a 2-0 series lead. Game 3 will take place on Friday, starting at 1:30 p.m. ET.
