It does not take a genius to know that no player is more crucial to a team’s success in the NFL than the quarterback.

For the past few seasons, the Bills have failed to find a quarterback that can get them over the hump but are hoping that Allen can do it. The second-year starter has a lot to prove if he wants to be that player for Buffalo and will get every opportunity to do so.

We know he has the arm strength and mobility to be a dangerous QB but there is also the inaccuracy issues that have kept him from truly taking off as the next best quarterback in the NFL.

Maybe having an improved offensive line and getting a dependable run game will help Allen feel more comfortable but the pressure is at an all-time high for the former seventh overall pick.

"“He’s going to be the biggest reason for our offensive numbers to trend in the right direction,” Bills General Manager Brandon Beane explained to Vic Carucci of Buffalo News."

There will be comparisons to Sam Darnold in New York who is looking to do the same things for the Jets as Allen will try to do with Buffalo. Whether either QB will be good enough to get past the New England Patriots remains to be seen, but the Bills will need Allen to try and do that sooner rather than later.
