The Buffalo Bills will look to take the next step this season and if they want to do so, they will need a lot to go their way.

The NFL season is technically underway but the Buffalo Bills will start their season against the New York Jets and it will be intriguing, to say the least.

After finishing 6-10 last season, the expectation is to see some sort of improvement but the team also needs to be reasonable considering how tough it will be to break through the AFC this season.

Going into this season, the team made sure to address the offensive line but also cut ties with LeSean McCoy paving the way for a new era in Buffalo. They also addressed various areas of the offence to put Josh Allen in a better position to be successful in 2018.

Defensively, the team seemed to have found its identity last season, but that has always been the case. Even with the departure of Kyle Williams, they should still be in good hands with Jerry Hughes but they also need to be prepared to bail out the offence.

With that being said, here are five players that will be crucial to the Bills success heading into the 2019 season.
