We break down the Toronto Raptors’ win in Cleveland at Quicken Loans Arena, against a Cavaliers team floundering at the bottom of the standings.

The Toronto Raptors returned to the scene of the crime on Saturday night. However, the circumstances couldn’t have been more different, from when they previously travelled to Cleveland and were swept out of last season’s playoffs.

LeBron James is long gone and the Cavaliers are a mere shadow of their former selves. Any thoughts of revenge were essentially redundant and pointless.

Still, the Raptors had a job to do and they got it done, coming away with a 106-95 win. In the process, they improved their season-high winning streak to eight games.

Coming off a big victory against the Golden State Warriors, Toronto was always likely to experience a letdown. Similarly, the team will face much more challenging circumstances than they encountered at Quicken Loans Arena.

Regardless, every game and every win is important, as the Raptors continue to stake their claim as a genuine championship contender. Let’s get to our five takeaways from the game in Cleveland.
