A look at the latest injury news and game odds for the Buffalo Bills, as they prepare to play the New York Jets at the Meadowlands on Sunday afternoon.

The Buffalo Bills continued their miserable season last weekend, with a humiliating 41-9 loss at home to the Chicago Bears. They dropped to a record of 2-7 and continue to have the worst points differential in the NFL.

In theory, the Bills will get a little relief this week, as they face a New York Jets team which isn’t much stronger. However, the Jets play better at home, where they are 2-2 so far in 2018.

This is reflected by the average predicted scoreline of 26.0-9.8, in favor of the Jets. In respect of the points spread, Odds Shark have the Bills as 7-point underdogs.

From a historical perspective, the Bills and Jets have been facing each other since 1960, when New York were called the Titans. In total, the teams have met 115 games (including one playoff contest) and the Bills lead the all-time series 61-54.

In New York specifically its been close, but the Jets hold a slight 30-28 edge in 58 meetings. This includes winning last year’s contest, 34-21.

The Week 10 edition of the Bills’ injury report is their longest of the season, with 10 players listed. However, as always, defensive stalwarts Lorenzo Alexander and Kyle Williams were given time off to rest and will both play on Sunday.

Turning to quarterback, the Bills are still in a nightmare position. Derek Anderson has been ruled out again, as he remains in concussion protocol.

Josh Allen did take part in practice this past week, albeit in a limited capacity due to his ongoing right elbow injury. He is listed as questionable, and there really is no need to risk him at this stage.

Whoever is under center, will be without one of the Bills’ more reliable receiving targets. Tight end Charles Clay did not practice all week due to a hamstring issue, and he has been ruled out for Sunday.

Turning to the receiving corps, Andre Holmes is dealing with a neck injury and is questionable to face the Jets. There is more positive news regarding Kelvin Benjamin, who has been cleared to play after recovering from a knee injury.

Finally on offense, we turn to running back Chris Ivory. He has been listed as questionable to face the Jets, after being limited this past week in practice with a shoulder injury.

Defensive end Trent Murphy has definitely been ruled out with a knee injury, and the chances are he will be joined by Tremaine Edmunds. The linebacker missed the previous game with a concussion and is listed as questionable, after being limited in practice this past week.

Overall, it’s tough to see the Bills winning this contest. However, the defense might…MIGHT…be able to play tough enough to help the team beat the points spread.
