We consider the latest injury news and game odds for the Buffalo Bills, as they aim to recover from the shutout in Green Bay and score a home win against the Tennessee Titans.

The Buffalo Bills were brought crashing back down to earth last week against the Packers. Unable to continue the momentum earned in the shocking win against the Minnesota Vikings, the team was shut out 22-0 in Green Bay.

This Bills team really has been unpredictable so far this season. With this in mind, who knows what to expect as they return home to face the Tennessee Titans?

Not that the book makers are having any such issues in deciding. At the time of writing, Odds Shark have made the Bills 5.5-point underdogs, which is up from -3 earlier in the week.

Interestingly, the average predicted scoreline is 21.3-16.6 in favor of the Titans. In this respect, we anticipate a closely contested affair in Western New York.

More from Buffalo Bills

In terms of previous matchups between the sides, it doesn’t matter if you concentrate on games since the Titans moved to Tennessee, or include contests from their time in Houston as the Oilers. Either way, the Bills are down in the all-time series.

Overall, the Bills are trailing 28-17 head-to-head including playoffs. (And yes, that includes the Music City Miracle.) Concentrating on games since their opponent relocated to Tennessee, the Bills are just 2-7.

For what it’s worth, the Bills did win the last meeting between the two teams in 2015. The final score was 14-13, with the victory coming in Tennessee.

Turning to the Bills’ injuries, this week’s report is actually not too bad, with just seven players listed. And it becomes even more encouraging, when considering defensive stalwarts Lorenzo Alexander and Kyle Williams had their usual rest during the week and will both be available on Sunday at New Era Field.

Safety Rafael Bush appeared in the first four games of the season, but has been unable to practice all week, due to a shoulder injury. Unsurprisingly, he has been listed as questionable to play against the Titans.

Fellow safety Micah Hyde faces a similar scenario, albeit due to a groin issue instead. The Bills will hope at least one of them is available on Sunday.

Tight end Charles Clay is a key component for the Bills’ passing game, especially considering their underwhelming receiving corps. As such, his questionable status with an ankle injury is arguably the team’s biggest concern on this week’s report.

Defensive end Shaq Lawson has had a frustrating season so far, with injury issues resulting in missing two games. However, despite battling a hamstring issue during this week, he has been passed as fit to face the Titans.

The final player on the Week 5 injury report is running back Marcus Murphy, who has been dealing with a rib issue. However, he was a full participant in practice this week and has been given the go ahead for Sunday.

Overall — believe it or not — we actually have a good feeling about the Bills this week. As such, we predict they will not only cover the spread against the Titans, but come away with a surprising win in front of their own fans.
