Buffalo Bills: Could linebacker Nigel Bradham make a return in free agency
By James Reeve
NFL free agency is set to start on March 14th and the Buffalo Bills are likely to be big players with plenty of holes to fill on their roster, with Nigel Bradham’s name floating around.
The most obvious position for the Buffalo Bills to target in free agency is at quarterback, with three-year starter Tyrod Taylor now with the Cleveland Browns after being traded for a third-round pick in this year’s draft (65th overall).
However, one other area is in desperate need of some help.
The Bills’ linebacker corps is set to take a bit hit this year, with starters Preston Brown and Ramon Humber both Unrestricted Free Agents.
This leaves the Bills with 34-year-old Lorenzo Alexander as their only legitimate starter behind the defensive line.

The Bills are likely to target a top linebacker in the upcoming draft, with the likes of Roquan Smith and Rashaan Evans rated highly.
But one free agent that is very familiar with the team could be on his way back.
According to SportsLine, Nigel Bradham has 3/1 odds of returning to the team that drafted him in the fourth round (105th overall) back in 2012.
The 28-year-old Bradham is coming off a Super Bowl-winning season with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he started 15 regular season games, combining for 88 total tackles, one sack and eight pass defences.
Bradham was a part of one of the best defences in the league last season, which helped lead the Eagles to their first-ever championship.
But now he is a free agent, rated 24th best available, and the odds suggest he could be on his way back up north to Orchard Park.
The Bills are in desperate need of help at linebacker and could value the experience that Bradham would provide, given his familiarity with the team as well as being a part of a championship-winning team.
Bradham will not come overly cheap, however, as he carried a $4.75 million cap hit with the Eagles last season with a base salary of $4 million ($1 million guaranteed).
If the Bills can jump at the chance to sign Bradham, they will get a top coverage linebacker who knows what it takes to win the big prize and could provide a strong influence on the outside.
