Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers had the Raptors’ number last year, going 3-1 in the regular season and sweeping Toronto in the second round of the playoffs. Despite these teams finishing the 2016-17 season with identical records, Cleveland easily won four straight, eliminating the Raps from the playoffs for the second straight year.

More from Toronto Raptors

The Minnesota Timberwolves made some strong moves in the off-season, acquiring Butler from the Bulls and locking down 22-year-old Vaughn native Andrew Wiggins to a five-year, $146.5 million deal.

Like the Bucks in the East, Minnesota has been a team that many see as a dark house in the West. Wiggins is one of the main reasons that this club looks so promising. Toronto sports fans always get excited to see one of their own, and the 22 year has already become the face of Canadian basketball.
