DeMarre Carroll has been the goat this entire year and his minutes shrunk in Game 2 and game 3. Do you think we’ll see this trend continue?

Chris: I want to say yes, but we’ve seen Casey continuously go back to Carroll anytime he’s healthy and I don’t think he’s ready to remove him from the rotation just yet. I think Carroll’s usage in this series will be dependent on the lineup Jason Kidd deploys.

If we see him play Tony Snell or Matthew Dellavedova for extended stretches, I think we’ll then see Carroll on the floor. If not, his minutes will likely be up-and-down.

Demar: The trend of Carroll being the goat on this team will always be present. Fans haven’t let go of the dollar amount he signed for nor will forget about his injury issues. Hawks Carroll ain’t walking through that door, but he’ll still have solid time in the playoffs.

His length and shooting will always be useful. He’s a 3 and D player that slides along that continuum from game to game so the minutes can get iffy, but in this series in particular I think the minutes he gets will all depend on how well he performs from night to night.

If he’s 5-of-7 on threes? He’s playing 20 to 30 minutes. Getting scorched by the Greek Freak every time he touches the ball? He might only see 10 or 15.
