Buffalo Bills Mock Draft 2017: 4 Best First Round Options
By Paul Taylor
4) Deshaun Watson
The Bills have been searching for their next franchise quarterback, ever since Kelly retired at the conclusion of the 1996 season. In that respect, what the Bills likely do in the draft, is tied to the future of Taylor.

If the Bills decide to keep the 2015 Pro Bowler past the March 11th 4 pm deadline, they’ll select one of the previous three options we’ve discussed. However, if the front office moves on from Taylor, the likelihood is they will position themselves to pick Deshaun Watson.
Make no mistake about it – Watson is worthy of being a high pick in the first round of the draft. His combination of size, athletic ability and leadership skills are everything you would look for in a potential franchise quarterback.
The 21-year old was sensational in college, helping the Clemson Tigers go to two consecutive national championship games, including winning it all this past season. Ironically, he was arguably better in his sophomore season, when he passed for over 4,000 yards, rushed for another 1,000 and was named First-Team All-ACC.
One of the few negatives with Watson, relates to his inconsistency with accuracy. (I don’t believe his build is an issue, despite some concerns in this area.) Regardless, if the Bills decide he is the future at the quarterback position, you will find very few people who disagree with his selection.
