Who’s really the Second best Team in the East?

Boston or Toronto? Only the record at the end of the season will truly tell but buckle up and put your seats in the upright position because this debate is just starting taking off. When ever people aren’t talking about the Cavs in the East the debate was whether the Toronto Raptors or the Boston Celtics are the second best team in the east.

A fair question to ask because there are alot of factors involved and neither team has remained the same as last year. The Raptors deteriorated on paper, they’re worse than last year. Bismack Biyombo left in free agency for nothing and the Raptors are still looking for a replacement for him while Kyle Lowry is continues to age past 30.

Boston is a team filled with young bloods who nearly cracked 50 wins last year and have undoubtedly gotten better this offseason.  With the addition of Al Horford and another year under all the young Celtics’ belt they’re set for a surge to 52-wins, if Las Vegas is to be believed. The Raptors won 56 games last year, but how many of Those wins were directly related to Biz? Remember JV was hurt for 15? games last year but the Drakes kept on trucking with Biyombo in his stead.

Horford is a true all-around centre that can even take opponents off the dribble, if need be and he was integral to Atlanta’s attack for his entire tenure there. He’s a skilled big and is a glorious addition to the Celtics who needed play making outside of Isaiah Thomas.
