Buffalo Bills: 5 Most Important Players to Watch This Season
With just under a month remaining before the Buffalo Bills go to Baltimore for Week 1, we count down the five most important players to watch this season.
To say it’s been a rough start to year two of the Rex Ryan era would be a massive understatement. We’re only into the second week of preseason and already the Buffalo Bills will be without three projected starters to begin the season (Shaq Lawson, Reggie Ragland and Marcell Dareus) not to mention several other key contributors who are either currently banged up or will be serving suspensions come week 1.
If Ryan’s seat wasn’t hot before, it’s at least got to have some sparks underneath it right now. As Bills legend Jim Kelly said earlier this offseason, the coach very well might be coaching to keep his job.
However, It hasn’t been all dark and cloudy in Western New York this summer. There has been some sunshine.

For the first time since maybe Kelly was chucking it around, the team has stability at quarterback. Fresh off an impressive 2015 season with Buffalo — his first as an NFL starter — Tyrod Taylor and the organization have agreed to a six-year extension, fully entrenching him in their eyes as the franchise pivot.
There’s more good news: ramifications from the conclusion of Deflategate (hopefully, it’s the end anyway) will see the golden boy, Tom Brady, sit out of the Patriots first four games. This includes their Week 4 game, when they host the Bills.
With these factors in mind, we decided to list the top difference makers for the Bills. Let’s see if you agree with our choices, as we count down the top five players to watch this season.
