Buffalo Bills: 4 Players Who Need to Take Advantage of Injuries
By Paul Taylor
1) Lorenzo Alexander
In some respects, Alexander must wonder what the heck is happening, after originally being signed to become a key member of the Bills’ special team. Now, he finds himself set to feature in the starting lineup, opposite Jerry Hughes.

In fairness, no one would begrudge the undrafted 33-year old, who is now entering his 10th year in the league. The question is, does he have what it takes to fill the gap until Lawson (hopefully) returns in mid-season?
Only once has Alexander been a regular starter for a team, and that was back in 2010. Regardless, it’s up to him to take advantage of this unexpected opportunity.
In truth, it would come as no surprise if someone else emerges during the pre-season, as a better alternative to start at outside linebacker for Week 1 in Baltimore. For now though, the Oakland, California native is the man in possession of the starting job, until proven otherwise.
