Buffalo Bills: Projecting the Opening Day Roster – Offense
By Paul Taylor
1) Quarterbacks
Quarterback depth chart:
Tyrod Taylor, EJ Manuel, Cardale Jones
Observations:
In truth, this was the easiest depth chart to project on offense. Taylor is set as the main man behind center for the Bills, with the team currently attempting to negotiate a new deal with him.

The former sixth round draft pick figures to continue the progress he made during his first season as a regular starter, when he proved to be a threat both through the air and on the ground. As long as he can show more consistency and avoid unnecessary hits, the Bills offense will benefit tremendously.
All indications point towards Manuel being the number two, with nothing changing since training camp started. While Jones is being given a shot at the backup role, his play to date indicates he is no threat.
This is no surprise given the 23-year old’s rookie status, and actually fits into the Bills preference for him not to see any playing time at all in 2016, once the preseason concludes. Further, he will get plenty of opportunities in the future, with Manuel more than likely gone after this season.
