4) Tony Greene

A lot of Bills fans will be unfamiliar with Tony Greene, which is a shame. One of the best safeties in team history, he played his entire nine-year professional career in Western New York.

More from Buffalo Bills

Greene was arguably underrated, both in Buffalo and around the league in general. However, he still had his moments, including setting a record for the longest interception return in Bills history during 1976, when he scored on a 101-yard interception against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Gaithersburg, Maryland native did receive some recognition in 1977, when he snagged nine interceptions and was voted to the Pro Bowl. However, his best year was 1974, when he also grabbed nine picks (in less games) and was named First-Team All-Pro.

By the time Greene retired in 1979, he had the most interceptions in franchise history for a Bills safety, and the second-most overall. The 66-year old can take pride in the fact both marks stand to this very day.
