1) Can Evander Kane behave himself and prove his worth?

Before we go any further, let us point out that we realize Evander Kane has not actually been found guilty of anything yet. This is more about his penchant for getting himself into compromising situations.

More from Buffalo Sabres

On the one side, everyone is entitled to go out and enjoy themselves – including professional athletes. However, if someone continually finds trouble, you have to at least start questioning their maturity level/decision-making.

In addition, the Sabres’ front office must be worried about what influence Kane could have on his teammates? The roster is developing a nice chemistry and the last thing they need is for anyone to compromise team morale.

The great shame about all this is the 2009 fourth overall draft pick is a very talented player, who is capable of having a major influence on the team’s fortunes. Pending the outcome of the charges against him, the Sabres will keep their fingers crossed that it is a positive one.
