Toronto Raptors: Jonas Valanciunas or Bismack Biyombo?
By Paul Taylor
As the debate rages on about Jonas Valanciunas and Bismack Biyombo, we analyze who is the better option for the Toronto Raptors moving forward.
Unsurprisingly, Toronto Raptors supporters are no different to any other fan base. Despite Jonas Valanciunas being one of the best players on the roster, it’s a case of ‘what have you done for me lately?’.
It’s not like the guy intentionally hurt his hand! Regardless, the play of Bismack Biyombo has a lot of Raptors fans believing he is the better player and should be the long-term starting centre for the team.

It has even got to the point where some people think the Raptors should trade Valanciunas, and do everything possible to keep Biyombo around. The latter has a player option for next season, and there are concerns he will just walk away at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.
It doesn’t help when Valanciunas is due to see an increase of nearly US $10 million in his salary next season. Regardless, any decision to get rid of the Lithuanian at this point, is extremely premature.
However, it is acknowledged that opinion is split. As such, let’s break down the two players in question, and see who really does add more to the roster.
