If your league counts shots against a goalie, Jonathan Bernier gave you your money’s worth. It is clear that Bernier is vital for the Leafs to be successful and it could be another great year for the Toronto netminder. He still has James Reimer behind him so he may not get 60 starts this season unless Reimer is traded or Bernier forces Carlyle hand and play him more regularly. Bernier is coming off some critical injuries that forced him to miss the end of the season, however I think he should get over the injury bug but be cautious with that. Bernier is ranked 122th on the NHL.com fantasy list which I do not agree with but he is still ahead of Ryan Miller and Craig Anderson but certainly better than Brayden Holtby, Steve Mason and Mike Smith. The only stat that could be troubling are wins and GAA which could hurt his fantasy production.
