Buffalo Bills schedule about to get tougher as playoff spot not guaranteed

Should Bills Mafia be concerned about Buffalo’s lead in the AFC East with the New England Patriots right behind them?

Their five wins have come against teams that are 8-24 this season and they are about to play the New York Jets who surprised the Cincinnati Bengals a couple of weeks ago. New England have won three straight games despite rookie quarterback Mac Jones not lighting things up but not losing games either.

There are a couple of games before we see Buffalo and New England face against each other on Monday Night Football. It would be in the Bills’ best interest to ensure that the game isn’t for first in the division.

After they play the Jets, they go on to play the Indianapolis Colts, and then the New Orleans Saints who are competing for a playoff spot. If Bill Belichick gets a chance to reclaim the division title, you can bet he’ll coach his team up for the challenge.

Hearing the comments from the Bills after the game, it’s clear that there are mental errors the team needs to get over.

"“Credit to (the Jaguars). They wanted it a lot more,” Allen said after the game. “We had a lot of little things add up to big things, and I put the ball in danger too often. It bit us in the butt. “I played like s**t, excuse my language. But that starts with me. I’ve got to be better for this team.”"

Bills coach Sean McDermott said that the team can’t be beating themselves in these games. Fortunately for Buffalo, they remain fourth in the AFC Conference but the Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens are coming off impressive victories.

There needs to be more awareness from the team of the challenge that lies ahead otherwise, they are going to be making life miserable for themselves.
