The Toronto Blue Jays 2020 season may be over, but the hard work is just about to begin for the front office.

With free agency right around the corner, it’s bound to be a busy off-season for Mark Shapiro and Ross Atkins to get the Toronto Blue Jays in a contending position.

Every fan wants their team to go to the post-season and win the World Series. The fact is, when it’s all said and done, only one team can say that they were successful in doing that. For those other 29 teams, the focus quickly turns to the off-season and ways to make their team better. 2021’s free agent class has some interesting names, and surely the Blue Jays will be looking for ways to make their team better.

On Wednesday, team president Mark Shapiro said he expects the team to have an active winter and won’t be restricted by tight budgets.

It’s easy for a team to be interested in a player, but it’s another thing for that player to be interested in signing with that particular team. Still, it’s fun to imagine the possibilities. Here are three players who would immediately make the Blue Jays better in 2021.
