2. Dylan Holloway

If there is another area the Leafs could look to address, it’s their centre depth. There is no doubting the talent the team has in Auston Matthews and John Tavares plus they added an intriguing prospect in Filip Hallander but they need to make sure they add some players capable of developing into contributors down the middle.

They lost some physicality down the middle when they traded Nazem Kadri and this is why Holloway is getting consideration here. As Ryan Kennedy of the Hockey News writes, scouts believe Holloway presents a lot of upside if he can be an offensive force.

He also plays for the University of Wisconsin so he’s another prospect that will take some time to develop to the professional level.  What will make him an intriguing player is his desire to be a physical force which is what the Leafs need to start considering with the players they draft.
