The Toronto Blue Jays are set to open an important three-game series with the New York Yankees. With both teams neck and neck in the standings, here are some things to watch for this week.

14 games. That is all that’s left of the 2020 MLB season for the Toronto Blue Jays. With seven of those games coming against the New York Yankees, this will easily be the most important stretch of baseball the team will play this year.

It starts with three games this week at Yankee Stadium where Toronto comes into New York with a 26-20 record and the Bronx Bombers right behind them at 26-21. The Jays appeared to have a bit of a cushion on 2nd place in the AL East until the Yankees rattled off five straight wins.

Both teams appear to be post-season bound, however, getting 2nd place in the division could be the difference between finishing fourth or fifth overall vs. finishing seventh or eighth. Despite their obvious differences coming into the season, both teams have dealt with a lot of similar issues this year. Injuries continue to plague both rosters.

What will these two teams look like when the first pitch is thrown Tuesday night?
