Allen came ready to throw

If the Bills want to show they are ready to take the next step as contenders, Josh Allen needs to take his game to another level.

Against the Jets, the 24-year-old showed he is willing to attack a defense as he had a career day throwing for 312 and two touchdowns. It’s promising considering the Bills have waited a while for a 300-yard passer and frankly, Allen could have been better in this one.

The two fumbles were concerning considering they could have easily given the New York Jets life but were fortunate that Adam Gase if their head coach. The fumbles are something Allen needs to clean up since he’s made it known that he wants to keep the ball and call his number.

Also, Allen missed a wide-open John Brown in the endzone and while it didn’t come back to bite them, those are the plays he needs to make. Also, after the Bills went up 21-3, the offense didn’t generate much in the second half and Allen needs to work on his connection with Stefon Diggs as there were some misses but 86 yards isn’t bad for a first game for the new Bills receiver.
