Bills win AFC East

This is probably Buffalo’s best chance to win their first division title considering the uncertainty within the AFC East. What better way to show they are ready to stake their claim than with a dominating win in Week 1 over the New York Jets.

Allen is going up against a Jets defense that traded away Jamal Adams so that should help him get off on the right foot. While any game against the Jets won’t be easy, they don’t present the same challenge as the Miami Dolphins or New England Patriots.

Of course, the Patriots aren’t ready to relinquish their crown just yet but the Bills have been pushing them especially on the defensive side of the ball. Many believe that New England will be vulnerable in their first season without Tom Brady but don’t count out Bill Belichick just yet.

The Dolphins were an interesting team because they looked ready to take the first overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft but Brian Flores was able to get the team to play some competitive football. They still finished 5-11 and don’t have the roster to compete for the division right now but if they stay on track, they could be an intriguing team to watch.

For Buffalo, the key to winning the AFC East is establishing dominance within the division which is why the Patriots were so successful for as many years. If they were able to, it would also improve their playoff chances as they wouldn’t have as tough of a matchup.

The Bills should have no problem getting double-digit wins but in order to win the division, they will need to get at least 11 to 12 this season.
