Week 15 – at Denver Broncos

Brock Osweiler, Trevor Siemian, Paxton Lynch, Case Keenum, Joe Flacco and Brandon Allen. Ever since Peyton Manning rode off into the sunset, Broncos general manager John Elway has had a tough time finding another franchise quarterback.

At the tail end of the 2019 season, rookie Drew Lock was handed the reins, and played admirably. In 2020, both Elway and Broncos fans alike are hoping he can establish himself as the next franchise pivot and put a stop to their Cleveland Browns-esque rotating door at football’s most important position.

The emergence of dynamic wide receiver Courtland Sutton helped matters last season. However, the Broncos’ offence still ranked in the bottom five league-wide.

To remedy this, Elway signed Gordon after his departure from the Chargers, while also loading up at receiver in the draft. The former quarterback turned GM selected the top receiver in the class in Jerry Jeudy, along with K.J. Hamler and Tyrie Cleveland.

The defence has lost career Bronco cornerback Chris Harris Jr. in free agency, but A.J. Bouye was brought in from Jacksonville to plug the hole. Meanwhile, Von Miller and Bradley Chubb are still a handful for any offensive line. In a tough environment at altitude, this feels like a bit of a trap game.

Prediction: 30-28 Broncos
