Week 14 – vs Pittsburgh Steelers

In what was one of their most galvanizing wins of their 2019 campaign. The Bills rolled into Heinz Field on Sunday Night Football and defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 17-10, to clinch a playoff berth.

It’s always tough to win in Pittsburgh, but the Steelers were down to their third-string quarterback whose nickname comes from winning a duck-calling competition. In 2020, if everything goes according to plan, Ben Roethlisberger will suit up for the black and gold again.

Jay Glazer of The Athletic recently stated that Roethlisberger’s fitness regimen consisted of one yoga session, playing golf and drinking some beer. I’m not saying this to be morose, but the NFL season is a grind, and without the adrenaline provided by the fans to help players gut through the pain, will he make it to this week 14 primetime clash?

If Roethlisberger does, his savvy and big game experience make the Steelers a contender in the AFC North. If something acts up and he can’t see the season out, however, the drop-off to Mason Rudolph or Devlin Hodges is steep.

Pittsburgh did add weapons in tight end Eric Ebron and Canadian receiver Chase Claypool, and JuJu Smith-Schuster is still providing a safety blanket, but there is still an Antonio Brown-sized hole in this team. They are always sound defensively, but putting up points will be an issue.

Prediction: 24-17 Bills
