With everyone trying to stay sane while being asked to remain in self-isolation, Toronto Raptors forward Serge Ibaka is embracing it and becoming a star in the process.

Across various social media platforms, people are trying to pass the time during the COVID-19 pandemic but none are succeeding at it better than Toronto Raptors star Serge Ibaka.

Whether it’s his trendy cooking show, showing off his impeccable fashion sense or finding ways to keep us occupied with his self-isolation videos, the content machine has been in full force.

Ibaka has amassed 1.2 million Instagram followers which is unheard of when you consider how there aren’t many Toronto athletes within range of him. It really speaks to his hard work to ensure he’s delivering quality content.

His new series “How Bored Are You?” is the perfect example of why Ibaka’s content is some of the best right now when you look at what other athletes are doing. You can bet that this will also help him in his post-career life too.

In a recent interview, Ibaka explained how he never expected his show to gain the popularity it has and has acted as therapy for him after a tough performance.

"“I have fun. I laugh,” Ibaka explained. “The people I work with, they’re so cool, or my guests. All of the concepts are funny. And I forget about (the game).“The next day I come back to practice, and in my mind, I’m fresh and ready to go.”"

Well in a time where people are missing sports, Ibaka is  certainly filling a void with some great videos including the toilet paper challenge which has been a big trend on social media.

Some might not understand or appreciate what Ibaka has been able to accomplish especially when you consider how many are trying to follow his lead. This isn’t content that can easily be done and not many are capable of balancing it either.

In a time where athletes don’t always get the best interactions on social media, you can bet that Ibaka is standing out from the rest of the group.
