LA Galaxy at TFC

BMO Field – April 18

In a league as fluid and fresh as MLS, few things stay the same for very long. But, for the entirety of their 24-year history, LA Galaxy has always been an attraction.

From David Beckham to Landon Donovan to Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the revolving door of superstars in Carson has kept the Galaxy at or near the top of the Western Conference standings since their inception. And although Ibrahimovic has left to try and right the ship at AC Milan, it didn’t take long for LA to find their next star.

Javier “Chicharito” Hernández has joined the club after coming over from Spanish side Sevilla, and it didn’t take long for the controversy to commence. Hernández was forced to clarify comments he made on his YouTube show Naked Humans, surrounding the “beginning of his retirement” at his introductory press conference in Los Angeles.

From a TFC perspective, a match against LA always serves as a great measuring stick to see where they are against the best. From a fan perspective, it means autograph hunting, high prices and great soccer.
