DeVier Posey

Known for being on the receiving end of the longest touchdown pass in Grey Cup history, DeVier Posey was one of the most memorable players from the 2017 championship team.

His speech at the championship rally at Nathan Phillips Square was one of the highlights of the event, as it was clear that he was in the process of becoming a fan favourite. Fresh off of winning MVP in the big game, however, Posey decided to try his luck in the NFL. He was signed by the Baltimore Ravens and went through training camp with the team, but was released shortly before the season began.

Posey returned north of the border and eventually landed with the Lions, where he had a lacklustre 2018 campaign. But, Montreal took a chance on him, and they’ve been rewarded.

Posey hauled in 50 receptions for 780 yards last season, and with Vernon Adams Jr. trending in the right direction at quarterback, Posey might just be in the perfect position to return to his Argos vintage.
