Chad Kackert

An integral piece of the Argos’ 2012 Grey Cup team, Chad Kackert was Toronto’s workhorse running back for the better part of four seasons. Signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars as a free agent out of the University of New Hampshire in 2010, Kackert was cut after training camp and inked a deal with the Argos soon after.

The power back’s first season in the CFL saw him set a personal best in rushing touchdowns, with five. His next campaign, 2012, was even better. He tied his mark of five rushing touchdowns while also carrying the ball 100 times for 638 yards, both career highs. Kackert had another solid season in 2013, in which he averaged a stellar 6.8 yards per carry, but was out of football in 2014. He returned to the Boatmen in 2015, but was used primarily as a change of pace runner behind Brandon Whitaker.

Kackert left the CFL after 2015 and a quick look at his LinkedIn tells us that he is now a Crossfit instructor in Dallas, while also handling social media marketing for Ventura Barre and Fitness. The more you know.
