Toronto Raptors 2019-20 schedule overview: 10 games to circle on your calendar
In their inaugural season as defending champions, what are the matchups on the Toronto Raptors’ 2019-20 schedule that you can’t afford to miss?
With the battle plans for the Toronto Raptors‘ NBA title defence set, there are many matchups that will have you asking ‘is it Oct. 22 yet?’
There are many reasons to be excited for the upcoming season considering this will be the Raptors 25th anniversary and there will also be a season-long celebration after winning the NBA title. While the outlook on the season might not be as hopeful with Kawhi Leonard leaving, there is still a lot to look forward to.
Here is a look at 10 games that should be circled on your calendar ahead of opening tipoff.
1. Home Opener: New Orleans Pelicans at Raptors – Oct. 22, 2019
Just as the inaugural NBA season kicked off with a game north of the border, the 74th will too, albeit under circumstances unimaginable back in 1946.
On this night, the Toronto Raptors will receive their championship rings from what was a heart-stopping championship run a year ago. Sadly, the main reason there’s even a ring ceremony to speak of won’t be there to enjoy it.
There will still be plenty of star power in the building, however. Zion Williamson is set to make his regular-season NBA debut on the night, and will certainly be looking to crash the boards, and the party.
