San Diego Padres

The Padres are an interesting team after making the big splash for Manny Machado so they can’t just sit back and play it safe.

San Diego has one of the top prospect pools in the league but it would be tough to see them empty out the cabinets in a deal for Stroman who would probably enjoy living out in California.

Anthony Castrovince of MLB.com believes the Padres could part with pitching prospects like Luis Patino, Adrian Morejon, Michel Baez or Ryan Weathers since the Blue Jays would probably not get either Mackenzie Gore or Luis Urias.

Castrovince also points out that San Diego looked in on Stroman this past off-season and you know teams generally like to circle around to old targets when trying to make an upgrade. You just hope the Blue Jays didn’t miss out on the opportunity to make a bigger deal.
