Atlanta Braves

If there is one thing we know about Alex Anthopoulos, he is willing to go big at the trade deadline if he believes his team had a chance to go to the World Series.

They still need another starter to give them a formidable rotation to contend even with Mike Soroka dominating the way he has. While they also won the Dallas Keuchel sweepstakes but still lack depth in the rotation behind their top two options.

MLB Network’s Jon Paul Morosi suggests that the Braves have the depth in the farm system to get a deal done and could be a potential long-term option for Stroman as well. Prospects like Kyle Wright, Ian AndersonLuiz Gohara, Touki Toussaint and Kolby Allard would be the ideal targets for Atkins and company.

What could also help the Blue Jays is if they use the Philadelphia Phillies as leverage considering they are the team chasing the Braves in their division. Who knows, Philadelphia might have the pieces to get a deal done but the Braves are the more popular trade partner.
