Who will go first overall? Who will the Buffalo Sabres pick seventh overall? And who will be going where? Here’s our final mock draft before the 2019 NHL Draft.

We are just days away from the 2019 NHL Draft in Vancouver, B.C., and finding out who the Buffalo Sabres will choose with the seventh overall pick.

It was a difficult year for Buffalo fans. The team got off to a great start, with the team peaking in November with a 10-game win streak. At one point, they were the best team in the entire NHL, sitting above both the Tampa Bay Lightning and Nashville Predators in the standings.

They play 82 games for a reason, however, and the Sabres just weren’t able to keep up the pace they had been at to open the campaign.

When the year was all said and done, they were in an all-too-familiar spot: picking in the top 10 of the draft.

Buffalo was able to snag generational defensive talent Rasmus Dahlin with the first overall pick in 2018. That sets them up perfectly to add another

But why stop at just the Sabres’ pick? We’ll be running through every pick in the first round during our annual staff mock draft. For this draft, I was joined by site expert David Morassutti as well as contributor Jake Middleton.

Jake will be starting off our draft by picking for the New Jersey Devils, who are now on the clock.
