We start our targets off with an individual that has been talked about as someone who could slip into the first round or fall to the middle of the second round.

Grewe displayed his physicality this season with Djurgårdens, racking up 102 penalty minutes in 25 games. When he wasn’t in the box, he put up 34 points.

He also played in 15 SHL games this season, serving a bottom six checking role in the Swedish top tier.

"“A high-energy player with speed, physicality and offensive instincts. Was destroying the J20 circuit and has been effective in a checking role in the SHL upon promotion. An athlete who can handle himself well in all situations.” – Cam Robinson, Dobber Prospects"

"“He is the highest in the food chain, a t-rex, eats everything and believes that everything is under him,” Djurgårdens’ head coach, Robert Ohlsson, said of Grewe."

The Leafs love to have forwards that can play in any role that Mike Babcock sees fit. After trading away Carl Grundstrom, they could use another player who could be slotted in either the bottom or top six.

Grewe could stand to work on his skating and stickhandling a bit, but he just needs some more time to grow as a player. He’ll get the chance to improve on those things over time.
