10) Pat Hentgen wins the Cy Young
Whether or not you consider Pat Hentgen among the very best pitchers in franchise history, he still enjoyed a fine career in Toronto. He was a three-time All-Star for the Blue Jays between 1991-99 and returned to the team for his swan song season in 2004.
From a club perspective, Hentgen’s greatest contribution came in 1993, when he earned a team-high 19 victories and helped the Blue Jays win their second straight World Series. However, his finest individual accomplishment came in 1996,
That season, the Detroit, Michigan native became the first pitcher in team history to win the Cy Young award. He finished the season with a 20-10 record, which included 177 strikeouts and an ERA of 3.22.
