3) Another win in Philadelphia

There was a lot of concern about TFC starting the MLS season on the road. And not just because of that recent 4-0 embarrassment in Panama.

Last season the Reds were terrible away from home. They finished the 2018 campaign with just two wins and four ties compared to 11 losses on their travels.

Despite this however, there was one factor working in TFC’s favour – they seem to enjoy playing in Philadelphia. Consider that despite last season’s abysmal away form, one of their two road wins came against the Union at Talen Energery Stadium.

In fact, the Reds went into Saturday’s game unbeaten in their previous four trips to Philadelphia. And following the 3-1 victory in the season opener, it now stands at five games without loss versus the Union on the road, with an impressive record of 4-0-1.

TFC’s next away game should prove to be a much more challenging proposition. They travel to Seattle on April 13, to face the Sounders at CenturyLink Field.
