What will be the plan at the Trade Deadline?

Trading for Leonard and Green has taken away the Raptors first round pick for this season so if the team wants to make a deal at the deadline, they need to decide how much of the future they are willing to part with.

Maybe finding a new home for C.J. Miles in a package that can provide a better three-point shooter. His recent struggles will make a deal tough but maybe that means they will need to consider including a younger piece.

Siakam and Anunoby should be off the table in any deal which is why the recent rumours surrounding a trade for Bradley Beal should not be a priority considering the price were both of the Raptors better young players and two first-round picks. This is the last thing Raptors fans would want to see considering the uncertain future around Leonard plus Lowry and Ibaka are not getting any younger.

This doesn’t mean Beal wouldn’t be an ideal target for the Raptors but unless the Wizards consider a change in their asking price this is not the deal Ujiri should pursue. There could potential options like Jeff Teague, J.J. Barea,  T.J. Warren, or Justin Holiday.

Toronto has options to consider and don’t have to swing big for a deal but if they can find upgrades off the bench then that should be the play for Ujiri.
