2) Nikola Jokic drops a triple-double

No prizes for guessing who the player of the night was. Nikola Jokic was sensational in leading the Nuggets to victory.

Jokic’s stat line alone made for impressive reading. With 23 points, 15 assists and 11 rebounds, he recorded his second triple-double of the season.

This spoke to how much of a zone the 23-year-old was in. He was in complete control in all areas of the game, both on offence and defence.

In truth, Jokic has been impressive ever since entering the league. However, he now seems to be taken his game to another level, with more confidence and better consistency.

Jamel Murray was understandably raving about his teammate after the game. As reported by the Associated Press via Sports Illustrated, Murray said:

"“He does everything. He passes, rebounds, handles the ball. There’s nothing he really can’t do, except jump.”"

To be fair, Murray had a pretty good night himself, with 21 points, eight dimes and seven boards. However, it is Jokic who will ultimately determine how far the Nuggets go this season.
